Meet the Author

Mark Schoneveld is a Philadelphia-based author whose debut novel, The Weight of Lightning, follows a young Hmong-American man tracing his roots across Thailand and Laos in the wake of his mother's death. His fiction lives at the edges of things — between cultures inherited and cultures lost, between the places we are from and the places we go looking. He is currently seeking literary representation.
